I just wanted to add the following message:

In about two months time my partner and I are going to begin a new website containg information on about 8,000 known vessels that have either been 'lost' or have merely disapeared from history. These ships are not, however, vessels found only on the 'lakes'. They encompass a large variety from wrecks on the Missouri to those found in the Indian Ocean. They range from ancient shipwrecks to oceanliners long gone. We will also include ships from the 'lakes'. You will find us asking for information on particular wrecks from the lakes, as we try and improve information on our current database. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope that the information we will be providing (at no charge whatever) may be of use to serious researchers and historians. It is information that has been compiling for the past 13 years. Hope to see some of you on the board. Thanks.

P.S. Please, give me some of your insight on ways we can provide this information to you efficiently and whether you think that such a database would be of value to you.
