Hi! Like you other respondees, I welcome your initiative. I am researching for a book and want any information about the disappearance in most mysterious circumstances, in a calm sea and good weather, of the Pleasure Paddle Steamer "Picton" on (I think) Lake Michigan circa 1868/70 - no trace has ever been found and her disappearance was observed by a folowing steamer, which searched until darkness on that fateful day. there was some suggestion that no debris or any trace of this vessel was ever located. Any information would be most welcome! Many thanks.
