This weekend while swimming we came across an interesting piece. It is wood, approximately 10" x 10", and about 7 feet long, although broken at one end. The unbroken end has a 3/4" rod protruding about 6 inches up. This end also has two holes drilled near each other. One perpindicular to the surface, and the second at a 20 degree angle. The wood has two lines of square nails running down one side, about 6 inches apart. One person commented that it appeared to be a rudder piece. Does anyone have an idea what it is?

Thanks,

Todd
