I totally agree, I'd much rather spend my time reading postings about shipwrecks (which some people think is morbid--go figure).

I must add one thing:
Mr. "Stephen", in regard to your question of "RIC Who?" I suggest you look at any one of the 26 PBS aired episodes of "Great Lakes Indepth" that Ric Mixter produced. They certainly have helped to promote the sport of scuba diving, shipwreck preservation, shipwreck research and the Great Lakes. That might help answer that burning question of yours.

: I checked my email archive to see if I ever emailed Mr. Williamson and I have not. Neither have I ever banned anyone from this newsgroup because it is not possible to do. I allow anonymous posts. I have sent several personal emails asking people not to make personal attacks and to keep to the topic, but that is all. However, just over a year ago, there was a major row on Neil Schultiess' Boatnerd website discussion group over a Fitz movie and I believe Neil did clamp down on some of the posters. I consequently suspect this has been a case of mistaken identity.
