More about the FITZ? Yaaawn. I think we all have heard the song, read the stories, seen the site maps and pictures. Yeah, I might watch a movie about it, if it's not a piece of crap. But There isn't a whole lot out there we haven't seen already, except a certain picture in the possession of Ric Mixter.
We are spinning our wheels with this subject. Our speedometer says 60mph, but our car is stuck and we're not moving anywhere.
In my humble opinion, there are a lot more interesting ships out there than the FITZ. Imagine if we put our energy into finding these ships instead of going over what we already know.

: I totally agree, I'd much rather spend my time reading postings about shipwrecks (which some people think is morbid--go figure).

: : My compliments to Brendan and everyone else involved with this site.

: : I must add one thing:
: : Mr. "Stephen", in regard to your question of "RIC Who?" I suggest you look at any one of the 26 PBS aired episodes of "Great Lakes Indepth" that Ric Mixter produced. They certainly have helped to promote the sport of scuba diving, shipwreck preservation, shipwreck research and the Great Lakes. That might help answer that burning question of yours.

: : Ron Bloomfield

: Mr. Bloomfield:
: Are you saying that it was UNFAIR of me to criticize Ric Mixter's accomplishments??
: If so, than tell me how it is somehow OKAY to criticize Mr. Williamson and HIS accomplishments? Oh, wait... you're probably among the many who refuse to SUPPORT the work UNTIL the work is actually done. I must say, your type is sadly quite common AND is the major motivation behind my recent "assualts".
: Prove me wrong.
: P.s. - I suggest that YOU refer to Mr. Mixter's follow-ups AND my responses.
