Through the years we have seen and heard about alot of Ships that have sank in the Great Lakes due to Thick Patchy Fog like the Cedarville or Rocky Reefes like the William C. Moreland or like many ships Fierce Gales on the Great Lakes like the storm of 1913 that took the James C. Carruthers down and to this day has not been found. Or Gales that took the
Daniel J. Morrell,Carl D. Bradlley, or the mother of all Great Lakes Shipwrecks the Edmund Fitzgerald. My question is and I don't expect any of you to answer this and I hope it never happens but I think it will again is when will another Great Lakes Freighter sink due to fog, reefs, and gales and storms. How big of a disaster will it be? Will it be as big as the Fitz and will it be deeper in the water than the Fitz will be. When will a ship sink that can top the Fitzgerald in length. I hope it never happens but I'm almost sure it will. Will the Shipping industry be ready or will it be destined to happen. A question for alot of people to answer espically Mother Nature. Oh hear us when we cry to thee for those in peril on the sea.
