I have been interested in Great Lakes Shipwrecks for about 10 years. The shipwreck that comes to my mind when you say Great Lakes Shipwrecks is of course the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald. I have talked to people about the Fitz and the sinking of it and alot of opnions have been laid all out on this tragic but truthfull story of the Mighty Fitz. I don't want to see a movie like the James Cameron's Titanic. I like the shipwreck of the Titanic alot but the movie I think there was to much nonrealistic statments and ideas put into the movie and if this is what the Fitzgerald movie is gonna be like I won't have any part of it. I don't want to see to much nonrealistic speculation about the Fitz. It's just no need for that. I want to see a movie well put together and alot gone into it. Make it something that every Shipwreck if I do say so fan would want. Noone knows how she sank so the sinking could be made up in the movie however the producers and movie makers want as long as it doesn't seem to unrealistic. My theory is either she capsized and broke under water or a giant wave came and broke the Fitzgerald in two and the strength of the wave made the stern flip over and sink bow rightside up and stern upside down. Good detailing on the ship model of the Fitz and if the Arthur M. Anderson model is gonna be in this movie it needs to be somewhat good detailing also. I don't think the movie should end at the sinking I think it should show the search for the Fitz and how the familes felt when hearing the news that there wouldn't be a Happy Thanksgiving. Oh hear us when we cry to thee for those in peril on the sea.
