The Colgate was in fact found several years ago by a Canadian fish tug. Lenny Cabrala, captain of the Teresa Marie reported the finding to Alan King and Roy Pickering who made the first sport dives aboard Roy's boat, "Offshore Diver".

Thanks for the plg on Erie Wrecks. The original book is now out of print as it was replaced by "Erie Wrecks West". EWW has blue prints of the Colgate. It covers 6 more wrecks than the original Erie Wrecks and has fare more extensive information on all the others (GPS & Loran coordinates are included.) You can get the book at www.eriewrecks.com
