: I met a woman this morning who shared with me that her grandfather
: was a crew member (in the pilot house) of the Willis King when it rammed
: the Superior City. That's "about all she knows about shipwrecks". She
: expressed an interest in learning more about her grandfathers boat, the "Willis King".
: I told her I knew of a place that may be able to help (this web site). So how about
: it? Can anyone direct me to any information on the King? A picture would be great (she has
: never seen it), and any information would be great too. I think the King went on to sail
: under a different name (possibly the "curtiss" something?). Any knowledge of that?
: Thanks in advance!

There is a video produced by the Shipwreck Historical Society, located at Whitefish Point called "Graveyard of the Great Lakes". Included in the video is the story of the collision and several pictures and paintings of both the King and Superior City. Your welcome, Mark Lehde
