In case anyone is interested, we dove Whitefish point last weekend (5/27/00) and the Vienna was buoyed with a bleach bottle and a tag line. The line is at the stern as usual and everything is still in place on the wreck.
The Panther wasn't buoyed, but we hooked it on the first attempt. Both were great dives. Vis was about 20 -- not great but not bad.
There was NO AIR available anywhere in town. Curly's compressor was stripped down and being rebuilt (may be done now) and Mike Zee was in town, but didn't bring his portable compressor trailer with him.
I guess no one was expecting divers at Whitefish Point in May. Go figure! Next time we call ahead.
