I have just recently heard of a couple commercial passenger flights that crashed in Lake Michigan. Flight 389 in 1965, and a DC-4 with 55 passengers on June 23rd in 1950. I'm sure these are well known stories and I would appreciate being directed to sources of more information. I am particularly interested in whether the DC-4 was ever located and salvaged. I would also be very interested to hear about any other commercial flights that have crashed in the lakes. I know there are a lot of military planes in the lakes, but I am really interested in the history of commercial plane crashes. Thank you for any assistance.
