I located what I think might be a leeboard on the east shore of Lake Huron but I need additional info
as to its actual use, size and type of ship, age,drawings of similar ships etc. The board is 13'x23'
and about 5"thick with a single pivet? hole towards one end and offcenter and a metal strap for
a chain or rope at the opposite corner. It is built of oak? strips 8" to 16" wide held together with 1"
metal spikes several feet long. There are scratch marks on one surface that go in arcs centering
on the one hole. Please fill me in with any information possible.
