If the song you are talking about is the classic Gordon Lightfoot song, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", then all you have to do is ask at any record store or use an online service such as Amazon.com. I don't know what show you saw, but I am not familiar with other songs about the Fitz. Since you said you like folk music you should look into the music of Lee Murdock. He also has recorded the song "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" as well as many other excellent songs about shipwrecks and sailing.
