Propeller ship Vernon foundered in gale and went down 6 mi NE of Two Rivers Point WI in late Oct 1887. One survivor. Accusations at the time cargo doors left open. Wreck found 1969. I've been told open cargo doors confirmed.
Looking for a printed & published account of the 1969 discovery. Or,if none name of organization or firm who made discovery.
My grandfather (Frank Hall)was 2nd engineer on the Vernon at the time she went down.
