The other option you have is to buy a few more tanks, enough to last you through a weekend or however long your typical trip is. Then you can have them filled at home and not have to mess with it on the road. If you look around you can get some used tanks pretty cheap. Before I went to a rebreather I had enough doubles and stages to last 4 days in a remote location without having to refill, and it made life much easier.
