The map you seek is one of a series of 5 by Lynwood Cook formerly of Sault Ste Marie. The background is dark navy blue, not black, but does show a large number of wrecks. Locations are approximate (wherever he could fit the ship icon) and the vessels pictographs are not true individual representations, but icons, representing the general type of vessel (i.e. schooner, package freighter, bulk freighter, tug, etc). The maps are reasonably well researched but are overpriced. The only place they are currently being sold online is ebay. Do a search for Great Lakes shipwreck chart or map and you'll see them. The seller is asking about $16 ea and $12 s/h!, which is really a rip off. I sell my Great Lakes shipwreck maps with as many wrecks and actual drawings of each vessel for $5 ea + 3.50 s/h.
