Pick up a copy of Ships and shipwrecks of the Au Sable Shores region of western Lake Huron by John O'Shea. It's an excellent study of the historical wrecks of the Oscoda/Tawas area of Lake Huron with very good photos, maps and archeological analysis of the area's wrecks. The historical accounts are also very accurate and complete. This is one of the best books on Great Lakes wrecks I've seen in a LONG time. It's available at amazon.
