Does anyone here know where I can get information about Great Lakes Engineering Works in Detroit? I've been looking on-line for info but, for some reason, I can't seem to find anything about the company. I know they were originally located in Ecorse MI and later moved to their River Rogue facility, but that's about all I can find about them. Since the city of Detroit recognizes the existence of the GLEW yard in its historical retrospective, WHY are the details of its operation so hard to find in any public forum? If anyone knows of any on-line site describing the history of GLEW, please e-mail me at bigfitz33@netzero.com
