Guys, Yesterday I scanned images of the Lake Michigan coast on the terraserver website, looking for anything that might possibly be wreckage. I noticed two types of images tha were unusual, one type was a dark black the other type was distinct and light. To compare to a known wreck, I zeroed in on the Francisco Moranzen on S. Manitou Island! Sure enouph the F. Moranzen showed up distinct in shape and a lighter shade & it was clearly visable on the satelite images. Two years ago I noted unusual shading in Oceana Co. which helped lead me to the discovery of the Steamer Daisy Day! Anyway i'm just curious what the black images are? For example there are two such images on the Ludington Harbor Photo one is approx. I mi. due west of the N. Lighthouse, & the other which is in pieces is @ 200 yards due N of N Lighthouse. Does anyone know of any wrecks in this area could they be something or just specks on the lense? I ran copies & locations of these and other images along the west Mi. shoreline more are of the darker variety while a couple are like the lighter images of the Fancisco Moranzen Wreck. Anyone else ever use terraserver? Is it possible that the photos could be parts of a wreck?? any thoughts? regards, Dave
