Speaking of Max Knoll, Halverson and Clark......Its the 50th Anniversary of the loss of the Prins Wilhelm off Milwaukee. I called and talked to Jerry Guyer, about Max and the crew ( who is hosting a group of anniversary dives to the " Willie" and a new find, this week and next, weather permittiing 1-414-588-6764 for info). Also, He has a copy of the original proposal from Max Knoll to raise the "Willie" from the Corp of Engineers.
He also reminded me that the Milwaukee car ferry and the Wisconsin are having their 75th anniversary this month too, and that he will be running out that way for those anniversary dives too............
