Mike, I think the name of the Pentwater tug is the COMANCHE. Brendon does an excellent write up about her in his book, "Ghosts of the Oceana Coast".
The wreck I'm talking about is rumored to be an old schooner. I talked with a fisherman who clamed he hit something in that area with his cannonballs. "It darn near tore the transom of my boat off" is what he clamed. I also have various articles over the years of something in that area.
