The wooden barge "Harriet B" sank while at anchor off Two Harbors, Minnesota on Lake Superior on May 3, 1922 after being struck by the "Quincy Shaw/D.R.Hanna". This vessel had earlier seen service on Lake Michigan as a railroad carferry, first as the "Shenango No. 2" and later as the "Pere Marquette No. 16". I've done plenty of diving and boating along the MInnesota Lake Superior shore, but never heard of anyone diving this wooden wreck. My question is whether anyone here has dived this carferry/barge, or knows anything about its location, depth, condition, etc. Has anyone found it? After many years splashing around in the waters off Two Harbors and Silver Bay, I've never heard of it, and only saw it mentioned on a web site about Lake MIchigan carferries. Thanks for any information. ~Paul Erspamer Milwaukee Thanks
