Has anyone done any kind of audit on the noaa preserve?I remember getting their deis/dmp volume1.On page 201 they made some pretty lofty financial projections.I wonder how much of a positive impact the preserve has made,versus, if it would have stayed state controlled.I wonder what the 3 volume set of deis/dmp and appendices,and final impact study cost us,just in materials and printing.A "friend" of mine put my name into their mailing list,knowing how govt.waste spending sets me off.I was surprised how nonsense they put into those.My favorite was the "naub-cow-zo-win"disks.Like you find these things laying around on the bottom?I had heard Alpena residents voted this whole thing down by a two-thirds margin,but hey..since when does your vote count? john v.
