Last weekend I was fishing off Middle Bass Island (Lake Erie) when I pulled up my anchor attached was what appears to be a very old anchor. The anchor weighs about 40-50 lbs. I am wondering if anyone can tell me howI can find out infromation about old anchors in order to try to place an age to it. I have a neighbor that was in the Navy in 1915 and he said he belives it is mid 1800's.
