Hello, Marian here from the Mystery Hunters show. Thanks for your suggestions for ships to investigate. Uhm, I'm a little green at this, so I'm presuming the Fitz is the Edmund Fitzgerald (sp?). But I can't find anything about a PM18. Can you illuminate me more?
As to the Great Lakes Triangleness of the story, this show is designed to teach kids to ask questions about what they see and hear, so we always include a section of possible natural explanations for a phenomenon. On the other had, we don't "kill santa." We also try and maintain the audience's sense of wonder about the world.
In the case of the Great Lakes, while there certainly seems to be good rational explanations for the number of shipwrecks, there do seem to be a lot of unexplained stories out there. What I'd really like to track down is a wreck that has some mystery surrounding it, but that has been found, so we can dive and look at it.
Thanks for your help, Marian MacNair Mystery Hunters
