Recently, an important archival collection of accident lists disappeared from my private collection. The collection comprised a series of accident reports from the Chief Signal Officer and the US Weather Bureau for the period 1869 - 1895. The lists were some of the only known copies of this resource and were slated to be transcribed and placed online as part of the Transcription Project in the coming year. The lists were comb bound in blue plastic covers and the spine was labeled US Weather Bureau Accident Reports. If you or anyone you know inadvertantly or purposefully took this book, please return it so it can be transcribed and placed online as a public resource. It can be mailed to:
