Dave,The possibity does exist,but don't expect anything too spectacular.Most wrecks in navigatable waterways were usually dynamited to smitherines, as they were a hazard.Too, rivers being relativly shallow,these wrecks would be fairly easy pickings for salvors of the time. I've asked Dave Trotter about this subject before,and I don't believe he's ever found a wreck in a river,he has found hardwood logs and smaller powerboats. As for the wreck in the Mississippi,I pity the the guy that has to dive in that mud and current.
