My buddies and I almost all use Poseidon Odin or xtream. We dive the St Clair River all winter. Thirty-two degrees on my computer last Sunday. None of us have ever had a Poseidon Odin or Xstream freeze that I am aware of. They often have up to 1/2 inch of ice encasing the first stag after a dive and still no free flow. Persanally, I dive the freeze cap, but not for freeze protection, I like the fact that it keeps all the dirt out. Plus it can't help but make it less likely to freeze up. I usw and xstream second on my Odin first with the freeze cap. The Xstream is a nice reg in exsteme curent because of its compac size.
If anyone else out there is using this coniguration, I would like to here from you and see if you did it for the same reasons I did.
