I have been redesigning the Great Lakes Shipwreck Research Dive Shop, Club & Charter directory as a database driven web application. This will enable people to update and submit new listings online and will make it a much more accurate resource. However, I need to take the 1000 or so entries that are currently listed on the website and cut/paste them into an online form and save them to the database. I've tried pasting into an Excel spreadsheet and trying to reformat the data for import to the database, but it's not feasible because the layout isn't standard.
I'm looking for volunteers who could help me with the data movement. It will be mostly a cut/paste job. If anyone is interested in helping, please email me at brendon@ship-wreck.com. If any technical folks out there would like to try getting the data into a format that can be imported, I'd welcome that also.
