Need info on a older Wesmar side-scan sonar.

We have a older Wesmar 500 SS that is functional (one channel we think is dead?) but looking for a repairman, parts or a broken unit to cannibalize (ha Ha)? Does anyone have experience with depressing the fish to the 10-15% of water depth? In addition to the 20-pound weight we have started using a aluminum wing but it makes recovery a pain. The deep (180-280 fsw) wrecks we are searching for in Northern California require getting the fish below the thermocline (80-120 fsw) and the ocean currents mean boat speeds that are a bit fast (2-4 knots). Also have seen a used EG&G 272 fish ($1000?) on the net IF anyone is looking for one. Thanks for the help. Bob
