The Noronic is one of the best known Great Lakes disasters. She has been written about extensively by many Great Lakes authors. A photo of her burning appears in Bowen's Shipwrecks of the Lakes. You should begin by looking her up in Dave Swayze's wrecklist (link on my online database page) and then find and buy (or check out in a library) the books Swayze lists as references. The books can be found on my Great Lakes bookstore page. I am quite sure she is also covered in Greenwood's Namesakes as well as Great Lakes Ships We Remember. She may also have a chapter in one of Dwight Boyer's books. I also think she's shown burning in James Barry's Wrecks and Rescues of the Great Lakes. I don't think there's much available about her online yet. Check out my main page at http://www.execpc.com/~bbaillod. You can probably find more references to her.

: I am still needing information regarding the ship NARONIC. All I really know of her fate is that she burned. I want to try and find an extensive history on her. Can anyone help me?
