There are plenty of unanswered questions on the bottom of the lakes. One that is not too far from your home base is the lost steamer VANDALIA, supposedly lost near Bar Point, Lake Erie, in 1851. She was the first propeller-driven vessel on the Great Lakes and very important historically. Problem is, historians are divided as the whether the '51 wreck was her end or not.

Other significant vessels not yet located: steamer KENT in Pelee Passage, cog-wheel propeller WATER WITCH off Saginaw Bay, steamer ALPENA off Holland, MI, etc. etc. etc. See my web page for summaries of wrecks of interest - including H.M.S.
