I agree with you and I have been working to develop a main database. I have incorparated my our data along with Brendon's, Dave S. and the Wisc Mar Hist Soc.'s, Plus a number of others who have sent me their databases. This is a long process and I have been working on it for a few years. I am doing both for myself with my books to make research easier and to help answer questions for others. I have a collection of over 300 Great Lakes books and just trying to index there wrecks has been a never ending job. It is a never ending task and currently I can not get it all on one database because of hardware problems. I have emailed a number of other authors asking if they would like to add their data to the base but have heard little from most. Dave S. and Brendon are very open with their data and I wish others would also. Keep pushing the idea and please keep me informed.
