: The Wisconsin Historical Society is disappointed with the decision of the United States District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin on 27 September 2001 in favor of Mr. Paul L. Ehorn. On 12 October 2001, the State of Wisconsin filed a motion for the court to reconsider its judgement. On 26 October 2001, the State of Wisconsin filed a notice of appeal in the Federal 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago.

: The Wisconsin Historical Society remains optimistic that Wisconsin will be able to successfully defend its interest in the Rosinco and will continue to preserve and protect archaeological sites for future generations of divers and non-divers.

I bet if you stopped wasting tax payer money on it Paul would just let us dive it. That way we could all go down and take a look with out fear of reprisal. I bet he, and others, might also tell us were some other "unknown" wrecks are that we can dive too- which is more than the state has done for us.
Why doesn't the state start spending some of its resorces on finding their own wrecks? Why do they only map the ones in less than 10' of water? As a tax paying diver I would like the state to find a virgin wreck and let us dive it if we promise not to take anything. All of these wrecks were stripped 30 years ago.
How about giving us the coordinates of that one in Lake Mendota? It would be a nice one to take divers to if you released those numbers. I promise to only take pictures if you start sharing your information with us. That would be a true service to divers across the state.
