: I came across your request quite by accident, but could perhaps help you a bit with your question. The Langell Boys, from what I know, was build at the Langell shipyards in Marine City, Michigan. (You probably know that already). A relative of mine started the shipyards in the 1800's. I know that my father would have more information about the Langell Boys----and I could dig it up if you're interested!!

Captain Simon Langell family immigrated to Nova Scocia from France during the French Revolution. was born in Nova Scocia in 1835. When he was 8 years old his father moved to Newport (Now Marine City) In 1878 He began building boats in St. Clair Mich. The shipbuilding crews were French-Canadians and Scottish Immigrants. Over 100 ships and barges were built at the Langell Boys shipyards in St. Clair. The Langell Boys Ship burned and sunk in Saginaw Bay.
