The Wisconsin Historical Society (WHS) is dedicated to preserving shipwrecks and to facilitating responsible diver and non-diver access to them. The recent decision by the United States Court of Appeals permits Wisconsin to defend its claim of ownership in the Rosinco. As before, Wisconsin continues to maintain that it is the lawful owner of the Rosinco. Meanwhile, the Court of Appeals decision does not bar responsible diver visitation to the Rosinco site. However, as with all other shipwrecks in
Wisconsin's waters, state law prohibits the displacement and/or removal of artifacts and Wisconsin is prepared to prosecute violators to the fullest extent of the law. Please help Wisconsin preserve the Rosinco and other
shipwrecks for the enjoyment of future generations of divers and others interested in our historical and cultural heritage. Finally, because the Rosinco lies below the recreational diving limit, only those divers with appropriate training and experience should consider visiting the site.

Thank you,
Jeff Gray

: : : Sunken Vessel Known as the Rosinco." The Seventh Circuit reversed a district court judgment that awarded ownership of the vessel to Mr. Ehorn

: The Rosinco is still under arrest by the Federal court, no you can not dive it. Paul
