Hmmmmm. It's possible. The latest theory about the M&B 2 is she lies further west than originally thought. Take pictures and show us some coal and artifacts!

: Re: the saga of the Marquette & Bessemer #2. Dec. 21, 1953, the commercial fishing tug Richard R leaves Conneaut OH to pull the last its nets from the lake about 14 miles northwest of Conneaut. It doesn't return. An intensive search over the next several weeks finally locates the boat on the bottom in 70 feet of water. The boat owner and others speculate that the Richard R capsized while trying to pull a net that was overloaded. Could it have been that the net had snagged on the remains of the carferry lost 4+ decades before?
