Griffin sank in which great lake?

Sorry missed the live chat just curious where most of you thought the Griffin sank. I fell this first shipwreck sank in Northen
Lake Michigan, possibly around Beaver Island, for after all there was a French trading post at the staits
and it never reported seeing them?
