I'm going to be selfish. I wish that each wreck be left alone so that my kids (and their kids) will be able to experience the same diving that I did. I've watched as the Sandusky and several other ships were damaged and looted.. and it's now only a shell of what it was when it was first found. I hate hearing from old divers who say "you should have seen that in the 50's".. when for all practical purposes it SHOULD be nearly the same today. If we all take a piece there will clearly be nothing left. You can debate laws and loop holes all you want. I wouldn't walk into a museum and take whatever I wanted (even if I spent a LONG time looking for the museum and I blew a lot of my own money getting to it). What makes others feel they can do the same?
