: : : I'm pretty sure I'VE said you're old. ;-)

: : : Craig Rich
: : : MSRA

: : Mr. Rich:
: : As I told Mr. Mixter, kudos to you for taking my wanton rantings in stride; I have the firm belief that shaking things up almost always results in the best of the group rising to the surface.
: : To be honest, Mr. Mixter (nor the MSRA) has NEVER been the intended focus of my ire... Ric just happened to be the most convenient contact at the moment through which I could assert my abilities.
: : Your lighthearted ribbing is actually quite humorous.

: Now I know Ric and if he's old, I'm really feeling bad!!! "Can't we all just get along" Now I have been diving for 33 years and have worked on both sides of the coin, (and have been critisized by both)but I believe they both have something to offer, I have only worked on permitted salvage,(last time was in 1989,it does exist) and have aided State and Museums with research and data. I understand the critisims of some of the old books(and some new ones) but some of these old books were written with no research available like micro film, large historical dipositores with access, data bases, etc. But they did offer a starting point and although many facts and history is being rewritten, might just have inspired a few of newer experts to did deeper. Now I don't think the cuts on Brendon are all correct (he could buy his software from Best Buy, I don't have any firsthand offerings on this) but he does do a lot more work than this posting board, his work for the Milwaukee Library and other resources he makes available to the general public at no charge, might cut him a bit of slack. Well thats my take. Feel free to cut lose on me I have big shoulders. Jon
: P.S. Hy to all my friends out there who I have not had the time to talk with latly!!!

I just now (10/6) read your posting; I hope you have been able to follow my postings, especially where it concerns Mr. Baillod.
As I said before, I "stirred the pot" a bit because I beleive that doing so separates the chaff from the wheat, so to speak. Your experience obviously speaks for itself... but most of all, thank you for taking my rants in stride and with good humor!
