At the recent meeting of the Association for Great Lakes Maritime History at Vermilion, we decided to try to publicize the Association's excellent online research forum at:

The forum is broken up into different areas of research interest and is strictly moderated. It is more academically oriented than this forum, but I would like to invite those of you who are interested in archival research to visit the site and participate. The site is not for genealogical inquiry or discussion of the latest dive news but I believe many of you would enjoy it.
I'd also like to encourage any of you with a strong interest in Great Lakes marine archival research to consider joining the AGLMH. It is an umbrella organization consisting of nearly every major marine museum and society on the Lakes. Their website is:
