: : I understand that at the time of the Coast Guard Report three crewmen were missing, Charles Cook, Eugene Jones, and Hugh Wingo. In a listing of Cedarville's crew in "The Bradley boats" (1995) Jones is the only man listed as missing; Wingo is noted as having been recovered "several years" after the sinking. Does anyone here know if this is correct that Cook and Wingo were found at a later date?

: It's been a while.. but I recall that a diver found one crewman years later. He was identified by his beltbuckle.. his (daughter?) said she remembered the buckle from spankings.

Hugh Wingo was my grandfather. His family recognized his belt buckle because he wore it to the side instead of in the middle. He said otherwise it cut into his stomach when he bent over. My mother did not remember it from spankings.
