My choice would be the "Lady Elgin", although I am sure that there are many other shipwrecks that could/would/should end up on the big screen.
For my personal enjoyment, I tried writing a sort of a script for the movie, but I never got over to the third page... (more data needed)
I'm a steamer guy myself, currently an active on Jokioinen Museum Railway.
