I'd be happy to share my data on the Northerner with you. However, the Northerner was definitely not photographed. For reference and for others who might be seeking photos, the following are generally true:

1. With only 3 or 4 exceptions, no vessel photos from the Great Lakes exist before 1860.

2. About 100 Great Lakes vessel photos exist from the 1860s. These are almost exclusively of steamers.

3. The vast majority of 19th century Great Lakes vessels were not photographed.

4. Vessel photos before 1890 on the Lakes are uncommon, particularly for schooners.

: I HAVE BEEN DIVING ON THE THE SIDE WHEEL PASSENGER STEAMER , THE NORTHERNER , IN LOWER LAKE HURON , WHICH SANK IN 1856 DUE TO COLLISION WITH FOREST QUEEN . STILL LOOKING FOR ANY ADDITIONAL INFO SUCH AS PICTURES OR SIMILAR VESSELS
