: : : Dave,

: : : Did you mean Big Sable Point? Little Sable Point is south of Pentwater, while Big Sable Point is north of Ludington. In any event, if you mean Little Sable, I can almost certainly ID the remains from the historical record. If it is Big Sable, I'd have to do some digging.

: : : : Found the beach wreck discussed a few months ago by Ross Richardson. We located the wreck @ 1 Mile south of little sable lighthouse way up high on the beach around 30'from the water. She is almost entirely burried in the sand. She's to long to be the May Cornell (1894), or the Alwilder (1875) 75'; I believe she's probably the schooner Souvenir 89x21. We didn't
: : : : have a tape but paced her off at near those demensions. Only ribs and alittle of her center board are above sand. David Swayze's data base would seem to suggest this as a prime possibility.

: Brendon, Opps your right I ment Big Sable Point!
Yes it is Big Sable point. The water level must be low. I thought it was only 10 ft on shore. I do not remember seeing the center board. Has the sand washed away and shown more of the wreck? How much of the ribs are above sand?
