Some of you might recall the old ferry "Straits of Mackinac," which the Neptune's Nimrods some time ago tried to sink as an artificial reef in the Wisconsin waters of Lake Michigan. The old ferry was then acquired by a Chicago group for the same purpose (http://mackinacproject.tripod.com).
Yesterday, April 10, the ferry was sunk just north of Chicago. After final underwater work is completed, its exact location will be made public and it will become a spectacular new attraction for Lake Michigan divers.
