Ben,
The W.C. Franz was involved in a colliison with the steamer Edward Loomis in November of 1934. There were four lives lost during the mishap; all crewmembers of the Franz. The ship was discovered near Thunder Bay (Alpena) last summer. Undersea Research will be presenting the documentation material first at the Ford Seahorses film festival Feb 22, 2003. URA maintains a website at www.shipwreck1.com but unfortunately, it is currently down for rebuild.
: The wreck finding group URA Underseas Research Associates Have made mention of finding the WC Franz Can any one tell me about her? What type of ship? when she sank? Where she sank? any details would be appreciated.
