: Im looking for a good quality magnetometer.Has anybody out there got a recomendation for me. Im in Ontario and I have no idea where to buy one.....but I need one pronto. Thanks a bunch.

The other unit is probably major bucks ($20k?+). We've been using a unit from Carl Frederick's that is no longer available($2500?) for 10 yrs. and he still has a $3,400 1-gamma unit, #MC-5. Cable is only 100' BUT still useable for deep-wrecks. Email me for more feedback. Try http://www.geometrics.com/~magman123/. Heard the Fisher mag is junk but don't have experience with them. Have rented our unit before BUT just ain't it worth it as rental fee too little to make the risk worthwhile. Good Hunting. Bob
