In Ontario you are required to have a license to search for a wreck. Contact the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Rccreation. Recent changes to the Ontario Heritage Act include marine sites as archaeological sites which are protected.
: Can anybody out there tell me where I find the laws regarding Treasure recovery in Ontario/Canada/Great Lakes area.I need to know the exact laws about salvaging and how it relates to the hull/the cargo and or any treasure recoverd.Thanks again.
