As we discussed this Fall, I am nearly done with the book Ghosts of the Oceana Coast, Pentwater Shipwrecks. In the course of my research, I identified at least 10 previously unknown Oceana County wrecks. I subsequently have a very complete inventory of all wrecks in the area of Stony Creek. Give me an email or phone call.

: Does any one know how many wrecks in shallow water their might be off Oceana County, Michigan? (a list with names would be helpful) I know that three schooners sank off Stony Creek in one year alone in the 1860's. There is an old life boat visable at the mouth of the creek, is there any way I can ID what time period it may have come from?
